Tip #1: Don’t put your new headphones in your laundry basket.
Tip #2: If you do put your headphones in your laundry basket, don’t throw them in the washer along with the rest of your laundry.
Tip #3: If you do wash your headphones, certainly don’t then put them in the dryer. That would be silly. Pluck them out of your wet laundry and pray to the acoustic God of your choosing to restore whatever harm may have befelled them.
Tip #4: Finally, if you do put your headphones in the dryer, don’t come downstairs half-an-hour later to check your laundry, realize it is slightly damp, and turn the dryer on again for another half-an-hour.
